Madrid, January 28, 2026 – Nissan and Astara have reached an agreement under which Astara will acquire Nissan’s business operations and will be appointed as the official importer of Nissan vehicles and spare parts in Chile and Peru. This agreement - subject to obtaining the corresponding competition regulatory approvals - marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand. Strengthening the commercial relationship between both companies, and leveraging Astara’s efficient distributor experience, local expertise, and regional capabilities.
The addition of Nissan to Astara's portfolio in Chile and Peru reinforces the company´ss position as a strategic partner of a leading manufacturer, while expanding its offering to customers with a new range of competitive products that are aligned with mobility demands.

The agreement between Nissan and Astara was signed in December 2025 and the transaction is subject to final approval by the relevant competition authorities, a process that is expected to be completed in the coming months.
