Objectives

The purpouse of the astara's suppliers ethics are:

  • To make public the ethical, social and enviromental requirements that all astara´s suppliers must accept and comply to collaborate with astara Group.
  • To work with companies that understand and share our commitment to the principles outlined in the Code.
  • That all astara´s suppliers will asume the commitment to extend these requirements to its own supply chain.
Scope

The astara supplier ethics code applies to:

  • Astara suppliers.
  • The supply chain of astara suppliers.
SUPPLIERS BUSINESS PRINCIPLES

1. To protect Astara's reputation, our suppliers shall:

  • Comply with and enforce applicable laws.
  • Implement policies and procedures to prevent corruption, bribery and others.
  • Promote anti-corruption surveillance. Do not offer any incentives, gifts or hospitality that may violate Astara's internal policies, or that are intended to gain influence at Astara.
  • Carry out your business with integrity, complying with the principles established in the Supplier Code of Ethics.

2. To protect human rights:

  • Every supplier shall respect the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the rights of the employees.
  • To fulfill the principles listed on the Suppliers Ethics Code regarding abuse, discrimination, rights of association, confidentiality, personal data, etc.

3. Commitment to the Planet:

  • The supplier shall promote the respect and enviromental responsability of astara Group, and respect the principles listed on the Suppliers Ethics Code regarding to: health and safety regulations and respect for the environment.
Compliance

Astara reserves the right to supervise compliance with this Code of Ethics by its suppliers, who shall:

  • Comply with regulations and the Code. In case of doubt, the most restrictive one will be applied.
  • Implements systems and controls to ensure compliance with all regulations (internal and external) that may apply.
  • Apply these principles or similar principles to your own supply chain.
  • Immediately notify astara of any legal breach of the principles established in the Suppliers Ethics Code.
