- Astara will take on the role of official importer and distributor, leading a revamped sales network for the distribution of a new range of products.
Madrid, May 25, 2026 – Renault and Astara have signed their first distribution agreement, a historic milestone that marks the start of a strategic alliance in a key market for both companies. The agreement ushers in a new era of growth and innovation for the brand in the country.
As part of this alliance, Astara, an international group with extensive experience in automotive distribution, will lead an ambitious transformation plan for Renault in Chile. This plan includes the launch of a renewed product lineup, supported by Astara’s broad experience in developing dealership networks for the brand’s commercialization in the country.
The agreement builds on the solid legacy that Renault has established in Chile since the 1960s and propels the brand into a new phase of growth, relying on Astara's experience and position in the Chilean market.
Ignacio Enciso, CEO of Astara, states: “Reaching a distribution agreement with an industry giant such as Renault is a clear sign of confidence in our efficient operating model that connects manufacturers and customers. Not only will we boost the brand’s growth in Chile, but we will also apply our technology platform and market knowledge to identify new growth opportunities.”
Marwan Haidamous, Global Vice-President of Importers at the Renault Group, adds: “With strong confidence in Astara’s expertise, this partnership will transform the customer experience in Chile, while accelerating the roll-out of our renewed product range as part of the Renault Group’s futuREady plan.”
A New Era of Growth for Renault in Chile
The partnership coincides with the launch of Renault’s new global strategic plan, “FutuREady”, an ambitious product offensive that includes the launch of 36 new models by 2030, many of them aimed at international markets with high growth potential such as Chile.
With a long-standing presence in Chile dating back to the 1960s, Renault is relying on Astara to lead a new phase of growth and reinforce its commitment with the Chilean market and its customers. For its part, Astara has been operating in the Chilean market for 25 years, with a market share of over 12% projected for 2025.
This commitment to the customer will form the basis on which Astara will roll out its value proposition, centred on efficiency, proprietary technology, and data, to accelerate Renault’s growth and deliver differentiated added value in the Chilean market.
